Hello, my name is Anthony Pirolli Jr. I served in the United States Army from August 10, 2005, to November 6, 2006. I was assigned to an infantry battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division.

After spending a few weeks in the barracks, I went AWOL. During that time, I remained in contact with several soldiers from my unit and informed them of my location and intent to return. I reported back after a few weeks but left again later that same day. A few months later, I returned to the unit.

Upon my return, the Army reassigned me to the 82nd Replacement Headquarters for discharge processing. I remained there until my discharge on November 6, 2006, under Chapter 14-12c, with a discharge status of Under Honorable Conditions due to misconduct. While stationed at the replacement unit, I also received a field grade Article 15. My DD214 is available on this website for review.

To further verify my discharge status, I will also post my New Jersey State Tax documents. I receive the Veterans Exemption, which confirms that I did not receive a dishonorable discharge. The State Tax Department verifies eligibility through federal military records.

Unfortunately, a group of individuals from my past—people who attended my elementary and high schools—have targeted me for harassment. They have attempted to involve federal authorities to prevent me from pursuing higher education. After starting community college in January 2007, they became obsessed with stopping me from attending Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Ironically, I have no plans to attend Rowan, as they do not offer the online programs I’m interested in. Despite this, some people wrongly assume that it’s the logical next step and believe I’m trying to enroll there.

This group has spread harmful rhetoric, often repeating things like:
“How do we stop Pirolli from going to Rowan?”
“This deserter needs to be put in his place.”

The truth is that I’m being targeted simply for trying to go to college. While many locals blame this harassment on my military history, I believe the core issue is much deeper—rooted in control and misinformation.
